Great game I wish I had found it sooner.

Fun educational game; could be even better with some image clues instead of just looking around for matching text, but nonetheless engaging and effective to grasp language form and vocabulary.

Great Game for Home or School. The Kloo Game "Race to Madrid" was enjoyable to play even as someone that is an
absolute beginner with someone that is an intermediate Spanish learner. We played the board game to completion and though the intermediate learner won I was able to keep up for the majority of the game making it more enjoyable for both of us. We both learned vocabulary and grammar in the course of playing. I would highly recommend it to families studying Spanish and to Spanish teachers for classroom use.

Excellent educational game. This is a really good game ! It is quick and easy to learn , but really effective at teaching vocab ! I bought it after my daughter started Spanish at school . She loved playing it , and even during the first game she was picking up new vocab quickly . The cards are really straightforward to play with and have a pronunciation guide for each word , which is really handy !! The Kloo website has extra game ideas , and also the option of printing out new cards in different tenses . I would highly recommend the game !

I played KLOO with my family all weekend and it is VERY VERY clever. I was beaten by my daughter but I still learned a lot of Spanish in a short time. Brilliant!

I have now played a few 30-40 mins games with my friends and overall it went down very well. I have several comments, none negative, which I will outline below.I found playing with a score board infinitely more fun than paper and pen. I would definitely recommend the "Race to Madrid" board. It gives a much more complete experience.I love board games and card games and regularly review games for another website. I am always on the look out for decent educational games as they are a difficult nut to crack. The holy grail for educational games is what could be called the "Golden Triangle" - was it fun? was it accessible? and was it educational?Fun? Everyone enjoyed it. No one left frustrated, bored or confused. First hurdle was most definitely leapt over with ease.Accessible? We played with 2 people who had GCSE Spanish, 2 people at beginner level, and one person who had no background in Spanish whatsoever. Everyone did well and no one felt out of their depth - even the person who had never learnt any Spanish previously.Educational? There was a definite trend of people translating more and more words as we went on. By the end nearly every word in the sentences played were translated and the pot of "untranslated" words diminished. The bloke who knew no Spanish at the start successfully translated complete sentences at the end of the game. So another success.So overall it hits all 3 important aspects of an educational game. I am delighted to see as accomplished a game as this one. Not many educational games manage to hit all 3 so it is a real joy to find one that does.Also we played a variation with which you separated the Red verbs from the rest of the deck and every player picked one red at the end of their turn and filled the rest of their hand with the other colours. This meant that everyone always had a starter card and more sentences flowed out. This will make more sense when you buy it!

Perfect game for learning Spanish! So easy to pick up how to play and is a perfect game for families to play!

Terrific game! I purchased this game for our family game night and we love it! We are all learning Spanish and this game has helped improve our vocabulary. We also played this game with a friend who is fluent in Spanish and learned how many of the definitions vary. I highly recommend this game to anyone learning Spanish. We also think this would be an excellent resource for any Spanish language class. It would be an interesting class project to create more language decks! We are also planning to try the game using just the decks. I suspect the board game makes for a longer play. It also generated conversation about the cities listed on the board.

Absolutely brilliant way of engaging and motivating students! Not only is it great regarding Spanish culture but it's great for verb revision and consolidation! Definitely recommend!!

Many thanks for the Race to Madrid game.  I have now had time to try it out with my Year 10s in class and it was an instant hit.They even asked if they could come in & play it at lunchtime - they absolutely love it.  Currently,  we have a visiting Spaniard in Year 10 who also played the game & also thought it was fantastic - she found it a real test of her English translation skills.  What a brilliant idea! You can use it with beginners & advanced students alike,  they're broadening their vocabulary,  getting to grips with verbs & learning correct grammatical structure without even realising they're doing it.  You've created a fantastic learning tool in the guise of a fun game.

I like the game. I bought this for a present for my husband to learn Spanish. it has been very useful and keep us enjoyed in our free time. I am a Spanish teacher, also, I use this game with some of my students. I highly recommend this product as well the Italian Kloo.

Good way for beginners to practice speaking a new language. Game play is simple but enjoyable nonetheless. Cards teach sentence structure, verb conjugation and vocabulary in a natural way. Might be a bit daunting for those with absolutely zero knowledge but, in theory, everything you need to play is there in the cards. Early days for us but we are having fun and feel we are learning.

I bought KLOO Learn to Speak Spanish - Race to Madrid on 28th October 2019 from Amazon. My nephew was selected to go to Madrid with other primary kids for an Erasmus project last November and wanted to learn some Spanish as well as know something about Madrid before he went. He had a great trip and was able to try out some sentences in real situations. Thank you KLOO

Want to start speaking Spanish...this is the way forward! You don't really need the board and it great that you can buy extra packs! My children started picking it up straight away...fab game!!

This game was exactly what I was looking for, something fun and interactive that encouraged speaking in Spanish without the prospect of verbs being daunting and boring. It covers key topics like food and clothes and you can make it as, I would highly recommend it, delivery was fast and I am very happy with my purchase.

Really entertaining game to teach my boyfriend some Spanish! He learnt the vocabulary quite quickly and after the game I used the cards to ask him the vocabulary, he basically learnt 1 deck in a couple of hours :)
